Core:

So core basically is Social Studies combined with Language Arts. We can learn a mixture of English, grammar, history, and geography in just one class (not period)! Through all this time, we completed a variety of projects ranging from plays, to drawings, to timelines, to even building! But certainly, the most memorable ones were the plays, and because they were memorable, they were fun. And when learning is fun, it is easy to take the most from it.

So the play was about the Civil War, which we were learning about at the time. We watched documentaries, wrote essays, and did papers on all the events that took place, so we knew what was going on. We spent two weeks memorizing our lines, acting scenes, and making props, all by ourselves! Some had more lines than others (Abe), but we worked together and tried our best to get a good grade. When the day came, we performed to all the grade levels (5-8), and my group and I got the good grade we deserved. I learned a lot from this play, not only about what happened in the Civil War, but how to work with others, and how to act and talk in front of a large crowd, which will benefit me greatly in the future. My group and I worked hard, and good things came to us. This is why I chose this assignment.
